Tornadoes, Heavy Rain Possible Friday, Early Saturday Across East Texas
A vigorous cold front will be pushing through the Pineywoods late Friday night, and that could cause an outbreak of severe weather beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through early Saturday.
Leading up to Friday, we can expect winds from the south gusting up to 35 mph. As a result, a Lake Wind Advisory is out through Friday.
The storms that will be pushing through our area could bring hail, damaging wind, frequent lightning, and tornadoes. Heavy downpours could end up dumping upwards of two inches of rain in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area, with up to 4 inches of rain expected towards the northern area of Louisiana.
We will be providing updates on the air on KICKS 105, plus we will be pushing out up to the second notifications on our New KICKS 105 App, so please sure to download that onto your smartphone or tablet.
