The 2019 CMT Music Awards were held on June 5 live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The night consisted of jokes from hosts Little Big Town and performances from a number of stars.
Little Big Town helmed the show for second consecutive year. The quartet kicked the night off with a performance combining Thomas Rhett and Trombone Shorty.
Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, and Zac Brown Band have the most nominations on this year's awards show with three nominations each. Other nominees with multiple nominations each include: Little Big Town, Brandi Carlile, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, pop artist Julia Michaels, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Eric Church and Kelsea Ballerini.
The coveted Video of the Year award has nominees including Underwood for “Cry Pretty," Brown for “Good as You," Urban feat. Michaels for “Coming Home," Ballerini for “Miss Me More," and Combs for “She Got the Best of Me."
Solo performances came from Underwood, Combs, Urban and Kane Brown during the awards show. A handful of collaborations will also take place during the 2019 CMT Music Awards: Toby Keith and Swindell, Brandi Carlile and Tanya Tucker, Brett Young and Boyz II Men, and Sheryl Crow and Maren Morris.
