
Lufkin’s Easter Eggstravaganza is Saturday, Here Are The Details
The 23rd annual Lufkin Parks and Recreation Easter Eggstravaganza is this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Morris Frank Park, located on Windsor Drive. Over 20,000 Easter eggs filled with candy and prizes will be hunted by kids ages 0-12. This free event is sponsored by Pilgrim's in partnership with City Church and Iglesia La Vina. There are many moving parts to this event, so let's break down the details.
Different Times For Different Age Groups
- 10:30 - Egg Hunt for kids ages 0-2. This will take place at fields M1 and M4. Parents are allowed to accompany the kids.
- 11:00 - Egg Hunt for kids ages 3-4. This will take place at fields M2 and M3. Parents are allowed to accompany the kids.
- 11:30 - Egg Hunt for kids ages 5-7. This will take place at fields M1 and M4. No parents are allowed to accompany the kids.
- 12:00 - Egg Hunt for kids ages 8-10. This will take place at fields M2 and M3. No parents are allowed to accompany the kids.
- 12:30 - Egg Hunt for kids ages 11-12. This will take place at fields M1 and M4. No parents are allowed to accompany the kids.
Kids are strongly encouraged to bring their own basket or bag (only 1 basket per child allowed). A limited supply of extra baskets and bags will be available. THERE IS A LIMIT OF 15 EGGS PER CHILD. If a kid misses their assigned time, they can visit the Lufkin Parks and Recreation tent, where extra eggs will be available. Children with disabilities or those who may feel overwhelmed in large crowds can also collect eggs at the tent.
Other Activities and Freebies During the Event
- At 11:00, Pilgrim's will begin serving free lunch
- Free pictures with the Easter Bunny will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Free family activities, including inflatables, kites, and bubble stations, will operate from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
