Here Are The Mutton Busters for the 2026 Angelina Benefit Rodeo

The Angelina Benefit Rodeo rolls into the George H. Henderson Jr. Expo Center in Lufkin this Wednesday through Saturday. Some of the world's best professional cowboys and cowgirls will be competing in events such as bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, and team roping.

One of the most entertaining events of the rodeo is the mutton busting competition. Youngsters between the ages of 5 and 9 will try their best to ride a sheep across the arena floor. The top rider each night gets to hoist a championship trophy into the air. Mutton busting registrations have been taking place over the past few weeks at Boot Barn in Lufkin and online through the KICKS 105 app. Here are the 48 young cowboys and cowgirls who were chosen to compete in this year's mutton busting
