All Pineywoods Girl’s Basketball Teams Win UIL Third Round Games

What a great Tuesday night for Deep East Texas girl's high school basketball!  In a post yesterday, we highlighted 6 different teams that were trying to make their way to their respective regional championship tournaments...and ALL of those teams WON!!  Zavalla Lady Eagles beat Neches 46-38 and will now advance to Tyler to play Martin's Mill on Friday at noon.

Martinsville Lady Pirates stayed perfect for the year with a 50-37 win over Evadale.  Martinsville will now also go to Tyler to play Slocum on Friday morning at 10.

In Division 2, Class 1A, Leggett got a win over Evant 60-48 and will now travel to New Braunfels to take on Leakey at 4 pm on Friday.

The Chireno Lady Owls will also be going to New Braunfels after their 44-37 victory over Round Top - Carmine.  Chireno will play Rocksprings at 6 pm, Friday

In Class 2A, Central Heights took care of Elysian Fields 50-37 and will now travel to the regionals at SFA and will play Centerville on Friday at 4.

Meanwhile, the Crockett Lady Bulldogs defeated Tatum 63-56 and they will also head to SFA to take on Crawford Friday at 6.
