
Nine Students Earn Arts Scholarships At Angelina College Ceremony
Angelina College’s Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) members celebrated its newest group of scholarship students in a signing ceremony held Thursday inside Temple Theater. A total of nine students signed scholarships in one of the four disciplines offered: Visual Arts, Choir, Music (Band), and Theater.

Graphic Arts Program
The Design and Applied Arts Program is designed to prepare students for employment as entry-level graphic artists with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform desktop publishing, photography, computer layout, graphic arts, digital imaging, web page design, and video for printers, media, advertising, and internet business.
Music Program
The Associate of Arts in Music offers foundational instruction in music theory, applied instrumental, voice or music composition, piano proficiency, solo and ensemble performance practice, and music history.
Theater Program
The Associate of Arts in Theater emphasizes production and experience in the creation of theatrical performances. The degree offers courses in all aspects of the theatre, both artistic and academic.
Visual Arts Program
The Visual Arts degree is a pathway for students to gain employment as visual artists or to transfer to a four-year college to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree.
