Saturday, March 15, a Powerball ticket sold in San Antonio matched all five of the winning non-Powerball numbers. That winner also chose the Power Play option, which doubled the jackpot to $2 million.

Another $2 Million Texas Winner

Wednesday night (March 19), no one matched all six winning numbers for the $416 million jackpot. However, another South Texas store sold a ticket worth $2 million.

Somebody bought a ticket at this Las Carretas Meat Market in Edinburgh, Texas, and that ticket matched all five non-Powerball numbers in Wednesday's Powerball drawing. The winner spent the extra dollar to Power Play the ticket which doubled the jackpot to $2 million.

Another Big Winner Uses a 'Courier'

There was also a $2 million Powerball winner in Pueblo, Colorado for the same drawing. That ticket was purchased at the Winners Corner through a Jackpocket courier.

Recently, Texas has launched an investigation into courier-based purchases for lotteries. A woman who won an $83.5 million Texas Lottery through a courier has yet to receive her winnings pending the result of an investigation by Texas Rangers.

Powerball and Mega Millions Jackpots Continue to Soar

The next Powerball drawing will occur on Saturday, March 22. The jackpot will be worth $444 million, with an estimated lump sum cash payout of $207.2 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing will take place on Friday, March 21. That game's jackpot has now risen to $324 million, with an estimated lump sum payout of $150.6 million.
