Back To School Bonanza Aug 13th

The Junior League of Lufkin's 6th Annual Back to School Bonanza is August 13th from 8am  - 2p at the Lufkin Civic Center. Over 2,500 free backpacks filled with school supplies will be provided to Angelina County student's K-12. In addition to the backpacks, they can get a haircut, provided by local stylists, a free school uniform, and a new pair of shoes, while supplies last.

I am so glad that they are doing this, for family's all over Angelina County, and they really hope to have enough supplies for everyone. You can make a difference when it comes to that.

Lots of community churches and organizations have gotten together to make this happen. First United Methodist Church of Lufkin and Buckner Children & Family Services. Plus, First Baptist Church of Lufkin, Southside Baptist Church, First Christian Church, Calvary Baptist Church, the Concerned Black Men of Lufkin, the Lufkin Lady Lions Club, and the Lufkin & Angelina chapters of Rotary International.
