Blue Bell Ice Cream is Bringing Back a Texas Favorite
Last July, Blue Bell celebrated National Ice Cream Month by introducing a brand-new flavor. It was a major hit, but it was only available for a limited time.
It's Back!
Blue Bell is now bringing back this wildly popular flavor in March. Get ready to feast on some delicious Oatmeal Cream Pie Ice Cream.
Oatmeal Cream Pie is a delicious oatmeal-flavored ice cream with hints of brown sugar mixed with soft oatmeal cookies and a vanilla icing swirl. I sampled some last year and I absolutely loved it.
Who am I kidding? Sample is not the right word...devoured or gorged would probably be more accurate. This stuff is addictive!
“We have taken all of the best parts of an oatmeal cream pie and combined it with our ice cream,” said Jimmy Lawhorn, vice president, sales and marketing for Blue Bell. “You immediately taste the sweetness of the brown sugar in the ice cream, but it is subtle. Once the vanilla icing swirl hits your taste buds, you know this is going to be good. The texture and taste of the soft oatmeal cookies tie it all together. It is just like eating a homemade oatmeal cream pie, but in ice cream form.”
Oatmeal Cream Pie is available in half-gallon and pint sizes while supplies last.
Blue Bell tends to introduce new flavors during the spring and summer months, so I can't wait to see what their newest sweet concoction will be.
