Cinco De Mayo Celebration Set For Kiwanis Park [AUDIO]

This Saturday is May 5th and there will be quite a few Cinco De Mayo celebrations going on throughout East Texas.  One of those will be taking place tomorrow at Kiwanis Park on Timberland Drive in Lufkin. 

The 16th annual Cinco De Mayo celebration will start at 11am and continue until 5pm.  There will be live music with bands representing all popular forms of Mexican music, including
Mariachi. There will be boxing, children games and rides, dunking booth, Mexican Arts & Crafts, great
Mexican Food, the crowning of Miss Cinco De Mayo, exhibitors and a whole lot more to enjoy!!!
Also, during the event we will have a PIÑATA being filled with cash donations from the public. This
year, the event is called “Let's fill Edwin’s Piñata”. All collected funds will be donated to Edwin Rodriguez, a 7-year-old boy from Diboll, battling Heart problems.

Miss Cinco De Mayo candidates are Angelina Rodriguez, Crystal Zamora, Ariel Elizondo, and Veronica Escareno.   The candidates are raffling off 2 iPads.
