Longview to Lufkin to Woodville, Area Round Dates, Times, & Sites

One round of UIL Texas high school football playoffs down...several more to go before state champions are crowned.

Numerous teams across East Texas claimed Bi-district Championships this past weekend. There were some nailbiters and blowouts, but the overall competition goes up another level as we move into the Area Round.

Some of these matchups feature state-ranked teams battling each other

In 5A - Division One, the 7th-ranked Lufkin Panthers will go up against the 5th-ranked College Station Cougars. Meanwhile, it's #5 versus #4 in 3A -Division One when Palestine Westwood takes on Columbus.
