If you haven't made plans for July 4th, hold up just a minute. There are several different celebrations, right here in our backyard!

If you're in Nacogdoches on July 1st, make plans to be downtown at Festival Park from 4 PM - 9 PM. Badders Law Firm is hosting Freedom Fest that day, and there are all kinds of cool attractions that go along with it. There's something for everyone, including a water slide, bounce house, live music, and more. And to top it all off, the firework show will start after dark, AND they'll be synced to the music from our friends at KICKS 105!

Maybe you'll be in the Diboll area on the 1st. If so, you can go check out the July Music Fest in Old Orchard Park! There will be live music from the Loose Gravel Band, food vendors all over the park, and lots of fun for everybody! Then, after dark the fireworks finale will kick off!

Also, on the 1st, the Zavalla Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their Fireworks Extravaganza.  This will be held at the Zavalla Rodeo Fairgrounds off of Highway 69. The gates will open at 7 p.m. with the fireworks getting underway around 9 p.m. Admission is free and donations benefitting the fire department will be accepted.

Just a few days after that, on July 4th, you can make your way out to Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin for the 12th annual, that's right TWELFTH ANNUAL July 4th celebration, sponsored by Mike Love and Associates. There'll be over 20 vendors there, BBQ, and the fireworks that night will be synced to the music of KFox 95.5!

As you can see, there are several different places to go celebrate the 4th of July this year!
