Friday Night Football Frenzy Band Members of the Week Revealed

Friday night football is here, and, as everyone knows, that's a huge deal in Texas.  A lot of hard,  hard work goes into what you see at the stadiums every Friday night, and that includes the students that rock the band.

This year, KICKS 105 and RNR Tire Express in Lufkin are presenting the Friday Night Football Frenzy.  Every Friday night from 9:30-11:30, J.P. and Havard will keep you up to date with area scores including hotline call ins from field reporters and coaches.  During the show each week, we'll also be recognizing the outstanding band members of the week.  We've reached out to many band directors in the area to be a part of this.  If we haven't contacted you and you'd like to be a part of this weekly feature please contact Danny Merrell at dannymerrell@townsquaremedia.com.

This week we salute the following:

From Huntington High School (pictured above)

• Brandon Rangel - Trombone, Brandon has made huge strides and is very dedicated to the success of this band
• Meagyn Franklin - Tenor Sax, Meagyn always works hard and gives 100% every time  she’s on the field or individual practice.

From Lufkin High School

• Harley Ledford – Harley is a senior drum major and percussionist in the Lufkin Band.  She is band member of the week because of her positive attitude and her example to others about pushing yourself even when you don’t feel well.
• Jacquelyne Montoya – Jacquelyne is a sophomore clarinet player and member of the uniform crew.  Jacquelyne is band member of the week because of her outstanding work ethic.
