Girl Scout Cookies Are Coming!
Girls Scouts in Lufkin and Nacogdoches are getting ready for cookie trucks to arrive this weekend - in other words, four million packages of cookies are coming to this part of the US!
Lufkin & Nacogdoches Girl Scouts are part of a regional group called Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council, and it's one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the country. The group covers the Houston area and 26 counties in East and Southeast Texas, including Angelina and Nacogdoches Counties.
More than 350,000 cases of Girl Scout cookies will arrive on trucks in Houston Friday, to celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend.
The San Jacincto council says on its website, beginning February 21, girls will begin selling cookies at booths located outside of grocery stores and other local retail venues. To find a booth in the area, you can call 1-888-GS-COOKIE or enter your zip code in the Cookie Booth Finder App downloaded from iTunes or Google Play.
Tagalongs anyone? Samoas are another favorite. Thin Mints are always the most popular, and they're great in the freezer! Thanks Girl Scouts, for doing what you do.
