The Best Day for East Texas Halloween Shopping is Orange Saturday
Some of the best Halloween costumes and decorations can be found at your local Goodwill store. Did I mention it's also the best place to shop when you're on a tight budget?
Saturday, September 30, Goodwill stores in Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Diboll and Trinity will be having their 'Orange Saturday' event. This is the official kickoff to the Halloween shopping season at Goodwill.
Over the past few weeks, employees at the stores have been gathering some of their gently used Halloween-themed items as well as purchasing new decor to have available for this special event.
The first 50 shoppers in each of their retail stores will receive a special gift. There will be discounts and door prize opportunities all day! The employees will also be dressed up in their favorite costumes and you get to vote on your favorite team member costume.
The best part of all of this is that with every purchase you are supporting a wonderful organization that gives back to our community. Goodwill offers numerous programs such as employability services and job skills academy, they also offer partnerships with area high schools to provide students with on-site soft skills training, hands-on training, work readiness training, and work experience.
So, instead of heading to those big box stores and paying those huge markups, stop on into your local Goodwill store. Instead of waiting until the last minute to figure out what the kids will be for Halloween, avoid that stress and shop at Goodwill on Orange Saturday.
Look for the KICKS 105 Road Show at the Goodwill in downtown Nacogdoches this Saturday from 11-1.
