Hey Texas Schools, Can Anyone Match What This Principal Did?
Building Back-to-School Excitement
Back-to-school time is here. Corrigan-Camden ISD was the first school district in Deep East Texas to start classes (August 2), while Central Heights ISD in Nacogdoches County will be the final area district to welcome the kids back (August 28).
Many school districts have student orientation and/or meet the teacher events. Quite a few districts either hold occasions or use special media to hype up the new school year for their students and faculty.
Check Out This 'Friends' Parody
'Friends' is one of the most popular television sitcoms of all time. Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Joey, Monica, and Pheobe have amassed millions of fans from when the show originally ran and from current-day reruns.
The show's theme song, "I'll Be There For You" by the Rembrandts, is also one of the most recognizable in the history of TV. We know the words and who doesn't try to match the staccato claps in the song?
Evansville Christian School in Indiana put together a YouTube 'Friends' parody to welcome students back to school. The video features some staff from the school dancing and doing antics around an inflatable pool (as opposed to the fountain on the TV opener). All this is being done to a reworked version of the show's theme. I'll be there for you has now been replaced with 'Welcome Back to School'.
Check out the hilarious and well-produced video below.
The school occasionally produces clever videos under the heading of The Principal Parody. This guy is really talented!
