The Texas Hill Country Has a $1 Million Powerball Winner
Texas has another million-dollar winner thanks to a national lottery drawing.
Saturday's Powerball Recap
Saturday's Powerball jackpot was worth $46 million. That will rise to $56 for Monday's drawing, since nobody matched all six winning numbers (8-15-17-53-66 and a Powerball of 14)
However, one person did match all five of the non-Powerball numbers and that's worth $1 million. It could have been worth $2 million if the winning ticker purchaser had spent the extra buck to Power Play, but that didn't happen.
The winning ticket was sold at the Gasgo Market (Helotes Country Store) on Highway 16 North in Helotes, right at the southern edge of the Texas Hill Country.
Friday Night's $2 Million Texas Winner
Friday night, there was one person nationwide who managed to match all five non-Mega Ball numbers in the Mega Millions drawing. That ticket is worth $1 million and was sold at Ballpark Beverage convenience store, just a few blocks away from where the Texas Rangers play in Arlington.
Doubling The Winnings
Whoever purchased the ticket DID spend the extra buck to 'Megaply' their winnings. The Megaplier number was '2', meaning the $1 million ticket is worth $2 million to the winner.
Lotto Texas
The Lotto Texas jackpot continues to grow. Nobody matched all six winning numbers Saturday night, 3-13-25-31-42-48, which means the next drawing on Monday will feature a jackpot of $73.5 million.
Nobody has won the Lotto Texas jackpot since a $29 million payout on June 24, 2024.
