Wednesday morning, the parking lot at the new Brookshire Brothers Express on Highway 94 in Hudson was filled to capacity as events surrounding the grand opening were taking place.

The store is located directly across from Hudson High School, so that made for a great opportunity to partner with the Hudson Jazz Band, Show Choir, JV Cheerleaders, Highlights Drill Team, and other members of the student body and school board who were present for the grand opening.

Representatives from the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce were also on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Members from Brookshire Brother's corporate office in Lufkin made check presentations to the Hudson Police, Volunteer Fire Department, and School Board.  Store Director Stephanie Matthews was also introduced to the crowd.

I had a chance to catch up with the Hudson Hornet mascot who gave us an abbreviated tour of the new store.  Check out the video above.
