Wednesday morning, the parking lot at the new Brookshire Brothers Express on Highway 94 in Hudson was filled to capacity as events surrounding the grand opening were taking place.
By the time she was a junior hurler with the Hudson Hornets softball team, Kelsee Selman had already committed to play ball at LSU. Then, in her junior and senior years, Selman and her teammates earned back to back 3A state championship titles.
Nearly two months ago, Hudson native Brandon Belt led the San Francisco Giants in homers and RBI's, then he was sidelined for 50 games thanks to a broken thumb that he suffered while getting hit by a pitch.
