Humble Texas Teacher Arrested for DWI While Driving to Work

Timberwood Middle School drama teacher Patricia Almond was arrested last week for suspicion of DWI.  According to a report in the Houston Chronicle, Almond was seen swerving before grazing a retaining wall on Highway 59.

When authorities pulled Almond over they noted that she had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol.  After being checked by the EMS, she was taken into custody.  Officers did obtain a mandatory blood draw warrant and a blood specimen was taken.

Timberwood Middle School is in the Humble ISD.  Also last week, another Humble ISD teacher was arrested.  Monica Quintero who works at Ridgecreek Elementary was arrested on drug charges. Officers said heroin, meth and other drugs were found in her apartment in Porter.
