The Summer of 2011 has gone down in the record books as the hottest and most dry one-season period for the state of Texas.

We will probably reach a record of 100 degree days in East Texas and the forecast calls for more of the same for at least the next 2-3 weeks.

I know that a number of area folks are offering up daily prayers in the hope of getting some relief...until that happens maybe a few pics of the Winter of 2010 will help.

Remember the week before the Super Bowl in Arlington.  Dallas/Fort Worth was hit with a snow and ice storm.  We mainly got a cold rain in East Texas, which sounds pretty good right now.
