Missing Texas Woman Embraces New Life In The Kingdom Of Kubala
Lost in Texas? Nope. More like, just choosing to live a free and rebellious life in the woodland commune 4,000 miles away from home, WAY off the beaten path.
Missing in Texas
Not long ago, a Texas family reported their loved one, Kaura Taylor, missing. According to the New York Post, Taylor was found alive and well, living in a "self-styled 'African' tribe" deep in the Scottish woodlands, basically, the last place you'd ever think to look.
Kingdom of Kubala
Taylor, who now goes by the name Asnat or Lady Safi, was discovered living in the Kingdom of Kubala. This group claims to have settled in the forest of Jedburgh in an attempt to reclaim land stolen from their ancestors some 400 years ago.

The Handmaiden
Asnat has now taken on the role of the handmaiden to 36-year-old King Atehene and his wife, Queen Nandi. Reports say that King Atehene used to go by the name Kofi Offeh and was previously an opera singer before moving to the remote forest in Scotland, where the group says that they "don't recognize local laws."
Trouble in Paradise
The Kingdom of Kubala has been served multiple eviction notices and has had its camp and tents set on fire in an attempt to remove them from the woodlands. They won't go easily, though. They've made it clear that "they only recognize the laws of their God, named Yahowah," and will not be bowing to local law enforcement.
Video Message
In a video message sent from the camp, Asnat says, "To the UK authorities, obviously, I am not missing. Leave me alone. I'm an adult, not a helpless child."
Tribal Life
The tribe says that they live a very simple life off the land, bathing in a nearby stream, and "relying daily on the creator for food, shelter and clothing." They also claim to be the lost tribe of Hebrews, and that King Atehene is a direct descendant of David the Messiah.
It's a bit strange, to say the least, but, hey, she's happy and healthy, right? That's all that matters. Different strokes for different folks...
