With the heavy rains we have had in the past few days, you would think that some localized flooding might be to blame for all the water in Diboll's T.L.L Temple Memorial Library, but that was not the case. A plumbing issue caused them to close the library on April 10, 2024.

When the library staff came to open the doors to the public today they were greeted with standing water. Their entryway, public restrooms, circulation area, and offices had all flooded.

Staff is working to clean up everything so they can safely reopen quickly. They have announced that they will be closed tomorrow April 11th and likely Friday, April 12th, as they start to dry everything out.

The library is running large drying machines and using cleaning chemicals, so they don't feel it is the best environment for the public.

WiFi Around The T.L.L. Library Is Still Operational

Free WiFi in the parking lot of their facility for guests will continue to be provided around the property 24/7. The library will also offer curbside service for copies, faxes, and book circulation.

If you are looking for a specific book, you can use their online card catalog at temple.biblionix.com/catalog. If you call them at 936-829-5497 they will pull the books for you.

Then they can meet you curbside at your vehicle with your literature. Just give them a call.
