Massive Wildfire Causes Mandatory Evacuation in Jasper County

For residents that are not home, please do not try to enter the area. Allow firefighters and first responders to try and get the fire contained.
Highway 63 will be closed all the way to 255.
The Texas A&M Wildfire Incident map shows this wildfire to be at least 100 acres with no containment as of yet. Angelina County Emergency Management says one structure has been destroyed and that the fire has grown to 200 acres.
