Jon Pardi's favorite CMA Awards memory happened late one night, after the awards show itself, when he got a bit too into the music. When asked about his standout CMA Awards memory, the 34-year-old reminisced about a good time that included a wardrobe malfunction.

"The night I was booty dancing in a limo and I ripped my pants and I had to go back and change my pants," the "Heartache on the Dance Floor" singer recalls to Taste of Country Nights. "It was in the limo after the awards, like, 'Woo, going to the after-party!'" when ... rrrrip!

"It was a Gucci suit, and it was so awesome," Pardi remembers. Unfortunately, the pants weren't salvageable.

"They don't make those pants anymore," Pardi says of his outfit. "It was, like, super '70s, it was all corduroy and green; it was great."

The 2019 CMA Awards will hopefully not include any ripped pants for Pardi, who will be walking the red carpet as an engaged man for the first time. The singer recently proposed to his girlfriend, Summer Duncan, after hiding the engagement ring from her for some time.

"It was on the West Coast at the jeweler in California, so it made its way to Nashville," he explains. "My mom flew it over for the Ryman [Auditorium] show. I was like, 'Don't give it to my sister, she'll lose it,'" Pardi jokes.

Wedding bells are ringing on the horizon, but Pardi admits that he and Duncan are "far behind" on wedding planning, as they have yet to pick a song for their first dance.

"We're having a good time and don't really care about that [planning]," he shares. Their most important priority is the Nashville party after the "simple" ceremony.

The 53rd annual CMA Awards will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and will air live on ABC at 8PM ET on Wednesday (Nov. 13).
