IT'S HERE!

The high school football season is underway. That means the KICKS 105 Friday Night Frenzy powered by Kelly's Truck Parts will be kicking off as well. This year the Frenzy is taking on a new look and feel.  Oh, we will still be providing the most comprehensive list and update of high school football scores in Deep East Texas, sponsored by Truss & Son Plumbing.

But, we'll also feature some great weekend party songs in between the scores. Think of it as a combination scoreboard show and pasture party.

The KICKS 105 Friday Night Football Frenzy airs from 9 - 11 pm and is full of features celebrating football and those who make Friday nights special.  Let's take a look at this week's

FNF Game of the Week Powered by East Texas Slab Masters

When you look at the schedule for this first week of high school football, the game that stands out is Timpson vs Beckville.  Those two teams met deep in the playoffs last year with the Bears taking the win.  However, this game was played Thursday night as a marquee matchup with Timpson running away with the victory 53-22.

So, now who do we pick for the Game of the Week? The Kilgore/Carthage game should be a doozy, but they are both a little too far north of our listening area.  So, we have decided upon...

HUNTINGTON VS ELKHART

Both teams are looking to make it into the playoffs this year, and a victory to start the season would help with the confidence level.  The Red Devils squeaked by the Elks last year, 20-14, so this should be a tight matchup.

FNF Drill Team of the Week Powered by Brown Family Health Center

This week, we salute the award-winning Huntington Highsteppers.  These ladies continue to receive honors and awards.  Recently, they traveled to Hawaii to perform at an event commemorating the 80th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
