Lufkin Cheerleaders Promote Upcoming Meetings/Tryouts

Mikaela Neal and Ashlyn Coleman, co-captains from Lufkin High School Cheer, dropped by the Merrell in the Morning show to promote some important information for those young ladies interested in being a part of the Lufkin Cheer for the next school year. 

Lufkin High School Cheerleader and Lufkin Middle School Cheerleader/Mascot tryouts are just around the corner. The Lufkin Middle School date is February 21st and all Lufkin High School tryouts are February 22nd.   A mandatory student and parent/guardian meeting will be held on Monday, January 27th or Wednesday, January 29th at 6:00 pm in the Lufkin High School Cafeteria.

All students interested in LHS cheerleader or LMS cheerleader/mascot tryouts must attend one of these meeting with a parent/guardian. Current 7^th-11^th grade students are eligible for tryouts and must attend one of these meetings to receive a tryout packet. Cheerleader coaches and the activities director will be in attendance to answer questions about tryouts.
