Lufkin ISD Welcomes New Director of Human Resources
Lufkin Independent School District has announced that they are welcoming Holly Mikesh to the Panther Family as the new Director of Human Resources.
Mikesh has been the Director of Human Resources for Center ISD for the past twelve years. Before Center ISD, she served as the Human Resources Manager for Port A Cool, LLC in Center.
Mrs. Mikesh is Texas Association of School Business Officials certified as a Registered Texas School Business Administrator (RTSBA). She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in Management from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a Timpson High School alumna.
“I am excited for the opportunity to join the team at Lufkin ISD. I look forward to supporting the district staff and building positive relationships that impact their lives, and ultimately those of the students and community,” Mikesh shared.
Mrs. Mikesh is married to Stacey Mikesh, and together they have three children. Mikesh will begin her new role at Lufkin ISD as the Director of Human Resources in late August.
Sheila Adams Leaves Communications Post
Also at Lufkin ISD, it was announced that Sheila Adams is resigning her position as Executive Director of Communications and Public Relations. She will be taking over a similar position with Aldine ISD in Houston. Adams will be reunited with LaTonya Goffney who is the Aldine ISD Superintendent. Goffney previously was Superintendant at Lufkin ISD.
April Soderquist has been named the interim director of communications and public relations until a permanent replacement is named.
