Lufkin Police Take Wanted Felon Into Custody
The Lufkin Police Department is reporting that a fugitive wanted for engaging in organized criminal activity in the Houston area was taken into custody earlier this afternoon (4/29).
Isaiah Moore, 18, of Lufkin, was taken into custody without incident around 1:20 p.m. at Creekside Apartments at 1825 Sayers Street. Moore had a felony warrant out of the Houston area for engaging in organized criminal activity. Officers have been looking for Moore for several weeks. He was considered armed and dangerous.
Moore will be taken to the Angelina County Jail, awaiting extradition to Harris County.
According to an earlier media release from the Lufkin Police Department, officers were asking for the public's help in locating Moore. A few weeks ago, Lufkin Police officers arrested another man in connection to the same Houston-area offense. Jakyron Sanford, 18, of Lufkin, was taken into custody without incident following a traffic stop on Copeland Street at Robinwood Drive. He is also charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.
