...spent $50 to purchase a 500X scratch-off ticket from this bin...
...and ended up winning $1 million.
The 500X game from the Texas Lottery was put into circulation in mid-September of 2024. The $50 scratch-off game features 15 top prizes of $1 million. The winning ticket sold in Lufkin represents the 13th jackpot winner claimed for this game. 2 top prizes remain.
Some of the previous $1 million winners from the 500X game have come from Flint, Houston, Copperas Cove, Adkins, and Laredo. The approximate odds of winning a top prize on this game are 1 in 400,000.

That game features 4 top winning tickets, all of which have now been claimed. The other 3 winning tickets were sold in Houston, San Antonio, and Baytown.
