Mike Moses Middle School Students Adopt A Street
Mike Moses Middle School (MMMS) Student Council (STUCO) members volunteered to start an Adopt-A-Street program, partnering with the City of Nacogdoches, to keep a section of the streets free from litter.
MMMS STUCO selected Park Street as their first endeavor. This organization selected this volunteer service to show their dedication to actively make a difference and keep Texas beautiful.
Fourteen middle school students (6th-8th grade) arrived early on a very cold Saturday morning, December 10, 2016, to walk both sides of Park Street, picking up litter along the roadside.
MMMS STUCO members would like to say a big "thank you" to the City of Nacogdoches Public Works Department for donating safety vests for the students to wear, as well as trash bags for collection of the litter.
