Mitch Rossell Releases a Song That We Really Need Right Now
I've been a radio air personality for going on 42 years now. I started spinning records (yes, back then we actually were still spinning vinyl records) at KCLT in Lockhart, Texas in 1979.
One of the most common questions I get is why did you get into radio. That's pretty easy. Two main reasons really. Number one, I like to entertain. Number two, I love the wonderful and beautiful power of music. Music can bring out so many emotions. Music can work wonders in an individual and it can touch and change the lives of a family, a nation, and the world.
It's really a great feeling when I'm able to share with listeners a song or artist that very few have heard of. Sometimes, however, those tables are turned. Over the past week or two, I've had several friends and listeners who have asked me to take a listen to the song '2020' by Mitch Rossell.
Wow! If there were ever a song that we needed right now, this is it. We need God. We need peace and love and the willingness to try to understand one another. Our leaders have completely forgotten that in order to lead you must seek and embrace the truth, and that comes from God.
Sorry, I digress from the main point of this post.
Mitch Rossell is an excellent singer-songwriter. Garth Brooks was so impressed with him that he asked him open for him on his record breaking tour in 2016. Rossell won over many, many fans with just his voice, an acoustic guitar, and his beautiful ability to write.
