Wednesday afternoon, law enforcement agencies from Nacogdoches County paid visits to several illegal gambling businesses across the area.
According to a report, at around 2 p.m., the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office and the Nacogdoches Police Department jointly executed multiple search warrants simultaneously on seven gambling locations in the city and county.
The police department executed the warrants within the city and the sheriff's office executed the warrants in the county. There were numerous gambling instruments confiscated at each of the seven locations.
The Nacogdoches County Precinct 4 Constables Office and the Department of Homeland Security assisted in the operation as well.
The locations of these gambling operations have not been made known as of yet by the NCSO. This is an ongoing investigation and as further information becomes available, it will be released.
