Amber Alert Issued for Missing 12-Year-Old Nacogdoches Girl
UPDATE: 6:40 p.m. - Nacogdoches Police are reporting that the missing child has been located and she is safe. Roselyn is in the process of being reunited her with family.
An Amber Alert has been issued at the request of the Nacogdoches Police Department.
Officers are asking the public to be on the lookout for Roselyn Navaeh Smith. She was last seen around 7:40 Thursday morning near the intersection of Tanglewood Circle and Tangleberry Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Roselyn is a 12-year-old black female. She has black hair and brown eyes. Roselyn is 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 129 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a black shirt with gold letters that spell "QUEEN', blue jean shorts, black shoes, and diamond stud earrings. She was carrying a backpack, a crossbody bag, and a clarinet.
If you see anyone in the area matching this description or have any information call 911 immediately and keep an eye on the subject, if possible, until officers arrive.
Earlier in the day, Nacogdoches Police had issued a statement on their Facebook page for residents to be on the lookout for a vehicle possibly connected with the abduction.
However, Nacogdoches Police have now issued a statement that they are no longer looking for the Chevy truck.
