Latest Powerball Drawing Produces Two New Texas Millionaires
The Powerball jackpot continues to grow.
No one matched all six numbers for the Saturday night drawing for the estimated jackpot of $875 million. That means that the drawing that is coming up on Monday will be worth $900 million. Given the expected rush of players over the next 24 hours, that number could grow.
The estimated cash value of Monday's jackpot is worth $465.1 million.
Even though no one matched all six numbers for the big payout, there are two new Texas millionaires as of this morning. Two persons in the Lone Star State matched the five non-Power Ball numbers to earn $1,000,000 each.
The winning numbers by the way were 2-9-43-55-57, and the Power Ball number was 18.
One of the winning $1 million tickets was sold at Circle K in Frisco, located at 12626 El Dorado Parkway.
The other $ 1 million ticket was sold at an Exxon Edge Mart located at 21411 Clay Road.
Speaking of large payouts, the next Mega Millions drawing which is coming up on Tuesday, July 18, will be for a jackpot of $640 million, or an estimated payout of $328 million.
Someone will eventually win the huge payouts for both the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots, but, keep in mind the chances of winning are microscopic. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is about 1 in 292,000,000. The odds of taking home the big payout for the Mega Millions jackpot is 1 in 302,000,000.
Play, if you want, for the money of your dreams, but, play responsibly.
