On October 7 & 8, the Big Bass Splash Fall Shootout is coming to Lake Sam Rayburn. This Saturday & Sunday tournament is presented by Bob Sealy and the crew from Sealy Outdoors.

The fishing tourney will feature $200,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes. That includes the following:

  • Grand Prize - Phoenix 919 Pro XP powered by Mercury, and equipped with Minn Kota, Hummingbird, Navionice, and Power Pole
  • 2nd Place - $2500
  • 3rd Place - $2000
  • 4th Place - $1500
  • 5th Place - $1000

There will also be $71,400 paid out in hourly payouts. 10 places will be paid back every hour. The angler bringing the largest bass will receive $1000. Plus, the contestant(s) who weigh in the first 3.00/4.00 exact weight bass each day of the tournament will be awarded $2,500 at the Sunday Awards Ceremony.

All contestants whose entries are received by September 26, 2023, will be eligible to win one of five 2-Day Complimentary Entries into next year’s event. Drawings will be at the Sunday Awards Ceremony. Must be present to win.

The Fall Shootout tournament will be headquartered at Umphrey Family Pavilion which is located just east of the Sam Rayburn dam on RR 255. Updates on the tournament will be provided by the official radio station of the tourney, KICKS 105. Be sure and download the station app to keep up with the standings.

In April 2024, the 40th Annual Big Bass Splash will be held on Lake Sam Rayburn. Bob Sealy of Sealy Outdoors has promised to make this the richest amateur bass fishing tournament in history. The overall payout is expected to exceed $1.2 million.
