Lufkin’s Restaurant Scene Evolves: Restoration Bistro Closes, The Mill House on First Arrives
Restoration Bistro in Downtown Lufkin will be serving its last customer on July 31.
In a post on the restaurant's Facebook Page, it was revealed that the eatery on South First Street would be closing on July 31st.

But, it's not necessarily goodbye for the building that has entertained and fed so many patrons through the years; it's the start of a new chapter.
New Owners No Strangers To Lufkin's Restaurant Scene
This will be the second Lufkin restaurant owned and operated by Blake and Erin Cuccio. Several years ago, Pelican Pointe opened on the West Loop in Lufkin, and it has become enormously successful.
My family has been to the restaurant numerous times, and we have always been impressed with the food, the drinks, and the experience. Oh, and when it's crawfish season, Pelican Pointe has got to be on your dining experience bucket list.

Erin Cuccio - Motivational Speaker/Author
Erin is also quite the motivational speaker and author. Her testimony in person is inspiring, and I would highly suggest reading her book "Unraveled".
I will miss the Restoration experience, as I know many others will. However, I am eagerly anticipating what the Cuccios and Heather Ramsey will bring.
Another Star For Downtown Lufkin
Over the past few years, Downtown Lufkin has expanded, improved, and given residents and visitors a wonderful variety of encounters and experiences. I have no doubt that The Mill House on First will provide another reason that Lufkin will be proud of what our Downtown has to offer.
I can't wait to see how they will "thoughtfully renovate and reimagine the space."
