Tonight Is The Last Night To Cheer For The Lumberjacks At Home
What a season this has been for the SFA Lumberjacks basketball team. First-year coach Matt Braeuer has guided this team to an overall record of 25-3 and a Southland Conference record of 18-1. Last season, the 'Jacks did not qualify for the Southland post-season tournament, but they are currently in first place in the league standings.
SFA is first in the conference in scoring defense, second in scoring offense, and first in overall rebounding. This team is a blast to watch, but Monday, February 23, will be your last chance to catch them at the William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, as they play host to the Privateers of the University of New Orleans. The Lumberjacks will play their final 2 regular season games on the road, and then it's off to Lake Charles for the league tournament.

Here's What's At Stake On Monday Night
- SFA will close out a perfect home record (16-0) with a win against New Orleans
- The Lumberjacks will clinch a share of the Southland Conference championship with a victory Monday. SFA currently has a two-game lead over McNeese with three games to play.
- An SFA victory would move the Jacks' winning streak to 14 games; the longest by the program since 2019-20 and the longest league streak since the same season.
Monday night's game will tip off at 6:32 p.m. Tickets are available and start at just $10. The basketball team feeds off the energy of the home crowd, but if you can't make it to the game, you can watch it on ESPN+ or listen to the play-by-play on Q107.
