Spencer Crandall is looking back on a young, innocent love that couldn't last in his new song, "Better." He performs the song in a stripped-down acoustic setting for this Taste of Country exclusive.

Crandall performs the song seated and accompanying himself on acoustic guitar, strumming a confident, propulsive rhythm figure as he sings of a young couple who thought they were out to conquer the world.

"We were young / We were dumb / Chasing love like it never ends up / Down in flames / Yeah we made the most of us / We were ride or die together / Always down for whatever / Yeah life and love were never better / When we didn't know better," he sings in the wistful chorus.

Crandall just released a new EP titled More earlier this month, which cracked the Top 20 on iTunes. The EP has already earned one million streams via Spotify.

Crandall moved to Nashville in 2016 and quickly began carving out a niche as a singer-songwriter with his own approach. He's had interest from publishers and labels, and he's signed with WME as his booking agency and opened a string of shows for Chris Lane. Crandall's built a large, loyal following on social media. His previous release, the 52 Eighty Acoustic Mixtape, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Charts in March of 2018.
