Deep East Texas has produced numerous standout athletes who have excelled at the college and pro levels.  Some of those stars have gone on to shine at an international level, or wear a ring for a world championship.

Clint Dempsey of Nacogdoches was a member of the U.S. Soccer Team for many years, Brandon Belt who played baseball at Hudson High School is a World Series champ, and Diboll native Jermichael Finley sports a Super Bowl ring from his time with the Green Bay Packers.

It's a proud moment for East Texans to see some of our own shine on the national and world stage, it's an even prouder moment when they return home and support the youngsters in their home area.

On Wednesday, June 29, Jermichael Finley will be returning to Diboll High School to host a FREE Youth Football Camp.  There will be two sessions of this camp.  The morning session will be open for kids ages 6-10, and the afternoon session will be open for kids ages 11-18.

Registration for the morning camp will take place from 8-8:45, then the camp will be held from 9-11:30.  A free lunch will be provided following the wrap-up of the morning session. Registration for the afternoon camp will be held from 11:45-12:30, then the camp will take place from 12:45 - 3:15. There will be a maximum of 150 kids allowed during each session.

The event is being conducted by Jermichael Finley and his team from ElevaTE U. At its core, this program focuses on the training of tight ends and linebackers in order to elevate their game and get more recognition in the recruiting process. However, Finley and his group also hold camps for kids looking to work on their overall athletic skills and agility, whether it be tied to football or not.
