Swim Teams from Hudson, Pineywoods Shine at Texas UIL State Meet

The UIL Conference 4A State Swim Meet was held on February 9th and 10th at the Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio. Teams from Hudson and Pineywoods Community Academy High Schools earned their way to the state meet.

The Hudson Girls team had several great finishes and ended up placing 10th overall in state!

Here are some of the specific event results involving teams from Hudson and Pineywoods Community Academy.

Hudson's Kasie Lopez made it to the podium placing 3rd with a time of 1:10.06.

Kasie Lopez placed 5th with a time of 2:20.44.

Hudson placed 6th with a time of 2:05.08. That team is made up of Kaylee Snider, Kasie Lopez, Lauren Hansen, and Cullen Merrell.

The same team of Snider, Lopez, Hansen, and Merrell finished 8th in the state with a time of 4:07.62.

Hudson finished 13th in the state with a time of 1:55.38. The team consists of Kaylee Snider, Lauren Hansen, Alexis Galvan, and Cullen Merrell.

Gunnar Durham from Hudson placed 14th with a time of 2:06.89

Hudson's Shepard Smith placed 15th with a time of 5:55.67

Hudson finished 15th with a time of 3:57.43. The team is made up of Shepard Smith, David Egner, Vicente Lara, and Gunnar Durham.

Bryan Campbell from Pineywoods Community Academy placed 11th with a time of 56.94.

PCA's Landon Campbell placed 15th with a time of 1:10.99.

The team of Conner Robinson, Bryan Campbell, Landon Campbell, and Ashton Martin-Kibbey from PCA placed 12th with a time of 1:55.19.

The same team from Pineywoods placed 13th with a time of 3:47.06.
