I have always been a roller coaster and thrill ride junkie.  The more loops, the better.  Well, that was before I turned 50.  The cliche 'The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak' has become a truism for me when it comes to the more aggressive amusement park rides.

October 30th 2005 Six Flags Astroworld closed, and locked it's gates forever. I am like many people who remember spending summer vacation days on the grounds of Astroworld.
