The Winter Storm Watch has been canceled for other counties to the north including Nacogdoches, Shelby, Rusk, and Cherokee Counties.

Less than an inch of snow is expected from Lufkin to San Augustine and northward, while little to no accumulation is predicted for counties such as Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, and Gregg.

The heaviest snowfall amounts are forecast near the I-10 corridor from Houston to the Louisiana Stateline. 3-5 inches of snow is possible in those areas with isolated higher amounts.

Numerous schools in southeast Texas and portions of Deep East Texas have canceled classes for Tuesday. Travel is highly discouraged, especially late Monday and throughout the morning hours of Tuesday. Keep up with road conditions here.
