As we discussed with Jimmy Carter on the Merrell in the Morning Show, the severe storms that plagued the Plains over the weekend also caused some tense moments at a Miranda Lambert show in Wichita, KS.

Saturday night, venue officials at the Intrust Bank Arena knew that severe storms were expected to move through the area so they had a plan in place.

And sure enough, around 10pm a tornado touched down in the southern part of the city, about 7 miles from the arena.  Miranda was on stage at that time, but was forced to suspend the show and concert goers were advised to remain seated and if needed, they would be escorted to place of safety.

However, after a 45 minute delay, the danger had passed and Miranda came back on stage to finish her show.

Here's a video of her first song after the weather delay.
