The Storm Prediction Center in Oklahoma has issued a Tornado Watch until 8 this evening (11/30) for portions of East Texas, southern Arkansas, and northern Louisiana.  Counties in Deep East Texas that are in the watch area include Angelina, Nacogdoches, Sabine, San Augustine, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, and Shelby.

You can expect increasing areas and lines of storms developing throughout the afternoon.  Some of these storms could produce the following:

  • Tornado
  • Damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph
  • Up to golf ball sized hail
