A vigorous cold front will be pushing through the Pineywoods late Friday night, and that could cause an outbreak of severe weather beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through early Saturday.

Leading up to Friday, we can expect winds from the south gusting up to 35 mph.  As a result, a Lake Wind Advisory is out through Friday.

The storms that will be pushing through our area could bring hail, damaging wind, frequent lightning, and tornadoes.  Heavy downpours could end up dumping upwards of two inches of rain in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area, with up to 4 inches of rain expected towards the northern area of Louisiana.
