Weekly Outstanding High School Band Members Announced

Another week of Friday night football is here, and it's time to recognize some of the outstanding band members from area high schools.

• We start with Nacogdoches High School Band Member of the week, Erick Leon (pictured above right). Erick is a junior clarinet player and "Head of Hats" for the NHS Band. He is being recognized for his strong work ethic and leadership on and off the field. 
• Ryan Gann is the Hudson Hornet Band Member of the week. He is a horn player, and is the Lieutenant Band Captain. Ryan has an outstanding work ethic, and has stepped up into a leadership role as a sophomore. He does a fantastic job, and is a valued member of the team. Ryan's band "code name" is "Lieutenant Swole".
• Katie Wilson (pictured above left) is a clarinet player for the Huntington marching band.  Katie always has a teachable, go get-em attitude. She works hard everyday and is an excellent student on and off the field.
• Kyle Rayburn is a senior tuba, section leader, and Head Quartermaster for the Lufkin Panther marching band.  He is band member of the week for his selfless dedication to serving others
• Karissa Holden is junior trumpet player, section leader, and Quartermaster for Lufkin.  She is band member of the week for showing dedication to high level performance.
