What Are The Zodiac Signs of East Texas?
If you're going to follow the signs of the zodiac to see what kind of personality you have or what kind of day you'll experience ... Might as well do it Texas style.
I'm not a superstitious fella, but I've given this a lot of thought and matched up some of the 'real' zodiac symbols with some synonymous East Texas staples.
Heck, some of these aren't exactly aligned with the zodiac symbols we all know and love, but they sure make sense if you apply 'em to the people I know.
You are reliable and practical. You're there when your friends need you, and sometimes it takes patience to put up with your crap, but your nonsense never lasts long.
Everyone has a story involving a good pickup, and the same goes for you.
If you look at the real Zodiac symbol for Capricorn, it sort of resembles a dirt path you'd take a pickup truck on. The animal it's supposed to be is a goat ... which is also synonymous to Texas ... hmm, maybe I should have just gone with that.
You are beautiful and like to be around like-minded people.
Like a good piney veil can provide shade and comfort, you provide comfort to those in need.
You are honest, loyal, and up front about who you are.
But sometimes you can seem detached from emotion and you don't like to be 'cut down' in front of anyone.
Looking at the real Aquarius symbol makes you think of waves, but I think it looks like a group of trees. If you want to go with water, then switch it to an East Texas lake ... Would you rather be a lake?
The symbol for Pisces is a fish, and while those born under the sign of the Pisces are supposed to be sensitive and kind, I've known a few folks born in this time frame to be stubborn and put up a good fight.
This would be the Aries of the group, which is normally a ram. Dang I should have used the pickup truck for this one!
Alas, I'm going with the horse. You're a MIGHTY STEED!
You're strong, energetic, smart and sometimes quick tempered. You aren't afraid of a good challenge.
You are also willing to carry your friends when they need a ride.
Sorry. It is what it is, and you should be ashamed of yourself if you didn't see this coming.
You go great with almost everything ... I mean, you're adaptable and versatile.
People know the dangers when talking to you, because you bring the heat and passion into a conversation.
You are intuitive and cautious. Your mood can change in a instant causing you to run, or choose to stand perfectly still and let the dangers of the world hit you head on.
You've gone your whole life thinking you were a lion, but maybe ... just maybe, you're a hog.
You can be a bit bossy, and push your way into situations that may be favorable to you. If too many folks born in this timeline get together, it can be a problem for the rest of us.
The good thing is you provide that challenge the rest of us need to carry on, and when we become friends, it's the most rewarding. (Because hogs taste good)
The Northern Mockingbird is our state bird, and it's your Texas zodiac sign if you were born between August 22nd and September 23rd.
You're modest and shy about your achievements, but are meticulous when you set your mind to something.
You're smart and you tend to over-analyze situations.
You can also be a bit of a perfectionist and overcritical of your friends.
What? My buddy got a majestic horse, and I'm some old boot?
That's right, you are charming, but you know how to get where you need to be.
You're dependable, and romantic.
You can let folks step on you at times though. Watch out for that.
You are a blend of several different personalities that come together to make something quite wonderful.
You're sometimes passionate, warm, cold, good, bad, and all of the above, but you always get your job done.
You might also be secretive, with a dash of danger that people can't quite pin down.
You are freedom loving, philosophical, and sometimes blindly optimistic and careless.
You bring hope and a sense of calm to those around you.
