Wine Lovers Get Ready To “Pour and Explore”
Taking a trip around the world of wine, sounds like a far flung destination, but this series of events is right here in Lufkin.
The "Pour and Explore" event is at The Pitser Garrison Convention Center in Lufkin, on March 22, 2018. If you are a wine connoisseur, or aspire to be one, or just like to drink fermented grapes, this is an event for you.
An opulent five course dinner will be prepared, and paired, with a selection of fine wines from Becker Vineyards. Becker Vineyards started in 1992, with thoughts of being a family run 1500 case winery. The first harvest in 1995, was the start of what is now an over 100,000 case per year winery. It went on to be served at the White House seven times, the Texas Governors Mansion, and many famous restaurants here in Texas, and throughout the United States.
This is usually a sold out event put on by The Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Brookshire Brothers every quarter. If you want to be a part of the tasting, check out the event page that they started on facebook. Cost is $65 per person, or $550 for reserved tables of 8. Seating is limited, and you must be 21 or older to attend. To purchase tickets by phone, call 936-633-0359
