The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce has named an Interim President/CEO replacing Bruce Partain who accepted the President/CEO position at the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce in Colorado.

Thursday, October 1st, Hudson ISD will be hosting their 4th Annual Health and Wellness Fair and everyone is invited to this FREE event.

Tuesday evening, a high school basketball game between Hudson and Pineywoods Community Academy had just wrapped up at Central High School gym.  It was just after 7:30 and my son was riding with me as we made the turn onto Highway 69 heading south.

Being a teacher is a labor of love. It seems that with every passing year, state legislatures and our federal government are asking our teachers to do more with much less.

A few years ago, I bought one of my daughters a Barbie Rod and Reel.  It never was opened because she wanted to fish with the same equipment the big boys were using.

For the most part, it has been a quiet Hurricane Season.  In June, we experienced heavy rains from the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill, but nothing to speak of since then...until now?

As a former Navy Blue Angel pilot, John Foley is used to going above and beyond.  Heck, that was the nature of his job.  It's wonderful to see that he continues to do that as a motivational speaker.

I'm guessing this kid is no more 9 years old, but he seems to be channeling Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, and Ronda Rousey all at the same time.

The 44th Annual Southern Hushpuppy Championships paid out over $2200 cash this past Saturday at the Texas State Forest Festival and one team took home $1500 from that total purse.

"Sometimes you need to pull the chef out of the kitchen and let him taste the food he's serving", I stole  borrowed that quote from a friend of mine concerning this story.

I try to teach my children that whenever they see someone who is a veteran of our armed services they should walk up to that person and simply say 'thank you'.
